La Resilencia is a black-and-white photograph made in Cartagena, Colombia, printed on archival paper with silver infused inks.

The image captures a family of artisans operating a makeshift stall within a nighttime market. Their temporary storefront is illuminated by a single exposed lightbulb suspended from a simple wire and powered by a car battery, a modest construction transformed into a place of commerce, gathering, and livelihood.

The family produces and sells handwoven blankets and pouches to both local residents and visitors. The market operates under the cover of night, allowing the family to work outside the restrictions and disruptions they face during the day.

The photograph is an observation of resilience expressed through necessity and ingenuity. Against the darkness, the improvised light becomes both a literal source of illumination and a quiet metaphor for persistence, the ability to create, sustain, and continue in circumstances defined by uncertainty.

This image is sized at 24x40 inches and framed in natural wood.
